Profile, password and two-factor authentication
Change your photo and password, turn on two-factor authentication and sign out other sessions.
Open Profile from the user menu in the top-right corner.
Profile photo
Under Profile, choose a PNG, JPEG or WebP image. It is resized in your browser to a small square before upload. Choose Save photo to keep it, or remove the photo to go back to your initials.
Your first name, last name, email and username are shown read-only. They belong to your sign-in account, not to the portal; see Changing your name or email below.
Change your password
- Go to Profile → Sign-in & security and choose Change password.
- You are taken to the secure Sentinel sign-in service. If you signed in a while ago, you will be asked for your current password first.
- Enter your new password twice and submit.
- You come back to your Profile page and see Password changed.
If you change your mind, cancel on the password screen and you come back without any change.
Why the password form isn't inside the portal
Your password is handled only by the Sentinel identity service. The Verisight portal and API never see or store it, so a problem in the portal can never expose your credentials.
Two-factor authentication, sessions and devices
Choose Profile → Sign-in & security → Manage account & security. This opens your account console in a new tab, where you can:
- Set up two-factor authentication with an authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, 1Password, etc.), under Account security → Signing in;
- see and sign out active sessions, for example a browser you left signed in on another computer;
- review the devices and applications that use your account.
We strongly recommend two-factor authentication for owners and admins, because they can connect cloud accounts, manage billing and create API keys.
Changing your name or email
You can update your first name, last name and email in the account console (Manage account & security → Personal info). The portal picks up the change next time you sign in. Your username cannot be changed.
Forgotten password
If you cannot sign in at all, use Forgot password? on the sign-in page. See Create your account and sign in.
